This is a fantastic, straight-to-the-point sweet chilli sauce I wouldn’t call it basic but definitely uncluttered. It lets the smokiness of the chipotle shine through without overpowering in any way, the garlic and ginger bringing a subtle counterpoint to the chilli and making it incredibly more-ish. It definitely achieves what it sets out to do, a sweet chilli sauce should appeal to more than just the capsaicin fiends and this isn’t so spicy but it’s a good introduction to the complex flavour chipotle peppers bring. I received a free sample of this with an order I placed but now I’m back and adding a bottle to my basket!
