Do I use chilli jam like a normal jam?
Think of it as a savoury chutney or relish, it’s just preserved the same way as jam. Our mild to medium chilli jams are great on the side of a plate or in a sandwich or burger. The hot ones are a fantastic cooking cheat. Simply add a spoonful to your casserole, curry, spag bol or pasta for an instant punch of flavour and heat!
How long does it last when opened?
We have a three-year shelf life on our chilli jams – although we would prefer you to finish them sooner! Just keep them in the fridge after opening.
Are the chilli jams vegetarian friendly?
Yes! They’re all vegetarian friendly. In fact all of our standard chilli jams and ultra jams are now vegan friendly and gluten-free. Please note that our Jamonnaise chilli mayo contains egg, and our limited edition Chocolate Orange chilli jam contains dark chocolate, therefore it may contain milk.
Where can I buy it?
You can buy it here from our online shop or from other websites like Not On The High Street. You’ll also normally find us at food festivals and markets up and down the country, you might see some of our Jambassadors too! Check out our Facebook page for more details. We have a lot of farm shops, butchers and delis that stock our products too. Get in touch with us to find out where your nearest one is, and we’ll do our best to help.
How much is delivery online?
We have a flat rate delivery charge of £4 within the UK; orders over £30 come with free delivery. Shipping for overseas deliveries is available, please contact us for a quote.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Small orders under 2kg are sent through Royal Mail 48, which usually takes around 2-3 working days, but at Christmas this can be much longer. Tracking information for your parcel is sent in the ‘Your Order Is Completed’ email. Orders over 2kg are sent via Parcel Force, who aim to deliver within 24 hours. We dispatch orders from Monday to Friday.
Can I include a gift message?
Absolutely! We have Jambo postcards for just this reason! Just add a message to the box during checkout, and we’ll handwrite a card with our compliments. Don’t worry, our delivery notes don’t have any prices on.
Why do you need my phone number?
Any courier deliveries require your email address and phone number so they can keep you updated on your delivery. For this reason, please double-check that your details are input correctly. We’d also really appreciate it if you could let us know if you’re happy for the parcel to be left in a safe place / with a neighbour, etc, and we’ll pass that on.
Do you sell blank items?
Yes, we do. We sell blank chilli jams and sauces to everyone from hamper companies and restaurants through to couples getting married and wanting a wedding favour with a difference!
Do you grow the chillies you use?
We’d love to, but the chillies are the one ingredient we can’t source locally. The chillies come from as far as India and South America, and our SALSA accreditation means that we can trace each batch of jam right back to the farmer who provided the chillies. We also sell the chillies we use in our dried goods section.
What are Jambassadors, and can I become one?
Jambassadors are people who want to sell our products at food festivals and markets on a self-employed basis and represent our brand in their area. Get in touch if this would be something you’d be interested in – we love spreading the jam!
